Five Ukrainian soldiers were injured due to shelling in Luhansk region. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the regional Military Administration Yuriy Klymenko, reports the press service of the military administration.
"Only during the last day and night, Russian-terrorist forces carried out 12 attacks in the direction of populated areas along the boundary," the statement said.
In particular, the militants fired Ukrainian positions near Novozvanivka, Novooleksandrivka of Popannianskyi district seven times from 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers of different types, anti-tank missiles, heavy machine guns and small arms. Two soldiers were wounded as a result of this shelling.
Meanwhile, militants used grenade launchers and various types of small arms in the direction of Crimean villages Lobacheve and Krymske of Novoaidarsk area five times. Because of this three of our defenders were wounded and the gas pipeline was damaged. Now the repair team resumed the supply of blue fuel to consumers.
"Injuries of five of our guys is an illustration of the insidious enemy actions and his unwillingness to fulfill Minsk agreements," Klymenko commented.
Earlier it was reported that militants fired from grenade launchers in Stanytsia Luhanska disengagement area. The enemy shelled Ukraine’s Armed Forces positions 37 times during this day and night.
