The humanitarian situation in Avdiivka somewhat improved over the last 24 hours; water and electricity supplies are restored to almost full extent. Pavlo Zhebrivsky, the governor of Donetsk region, said this in commentary for 112 Ukraine TV channel.

‘The peak of the combat situation in Avdiivka is behind, I guess. Schools will open today, hopefully. The power supplies have been restored. Heating systems operate properly, and the water supply system will resume working in full extent by the end of the day,’ he said.

300 people were evacuated from Avdiivka since the combat situation there badly worsened in late January.  Only yesterday, February 5, maintenance crews fixed the electricity supply system, which was damaged due to multiple artillery and mortar attacks in and around the town.
