The militants intensified bombardment of Ukrainian forces at night, using prohibited weapons. In the morning, the residential quarters of Novoluhansk fell under bombardment. This is stated in the message of the Donbas conflict press center.

Earlier illegal armed gangs attacked neighborhoods of Novoluhanske.

"So, about 1:00 a.m., the militants fired 15 mines of 120 mm caliber at Ukrainian forces' strongpoints near Krymske in Luhansk sector. Also the enemy used a grenade launcher and a 82-millimeter mortar near Pavlopil.

And in the Donetsk sector perpetrators using large-caliber mortars, grenades and small arms fired at our strongpoints in the vicinity of Nevelske. All attempts to impose a long-term fire confrontation to our soldiers were severely suppressed by targeted retaliatory fire," the headquarters said.
