The situation in the ATO area in Donbas region remains tense. Today, on June 17, the militants opened fire 22 times, 9 of them from artillery. This is reported by the press center of the ATO headquarters on Facebook.

In Mariupol direction, the enemy, using mortars of 120 mm caliber, fired at Ukrainian positions near Granitne and Chermalyk. In addition, in the area of Pavlopil, Slavne and Hnutove, the militants fired at the main strongholds of the Armed Forces from grenade launchers of various modifications and small arms.

The most scandalous violations of the ceasefire conditions from the side of the militants were registered in Donetsk direction. Thus, from 152 mm artillery systems, enemy troops opened fire on the defensive fortifications of Ukrainian soldiers in the Avdiivka area. From the same armament, the invaders fired at a section of the territory located nearby the Kalinovo settlement.

In addition, the enemy made more than 20 shots from the tank attacking the defenders of Avdiivka. Later militants from large-caliber machine guns and grenade launchers fired at the units of the ATO forces in the area of Verkhnetoretske. Nearby Zaitseve militants shot  from the arms of the IFV and in Kamenka, the invaders used an anti-tank missile system and small arms of various calibers.

In the Luhansk direction, the shelling was conducted from infantry armament near Stanytsia Luhanska, Novoaleksandrivka and Katerynivka. Noticeably the enemy intensified their attack in this direction already in the second half of the day. In particular, the Ukrainian positions in Krymske and Katerynivka areas repeatedly got under enemy fire from 120-mm mortars, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns.

As a result of enemy attacks, three servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were injured.
