Donbas: 120 mm mortars hit Novotroitske

50 attacks on Ukrainian outposts have taken place since Sunday morning

Russia-backed mercenaries continue shelling emplacements of Ukrainian government troops, using wide range of weaponry, including mortars and artillery banned by Minsk agreements, ATO Press Centre reported. Near Avdiivka, the hottest flashpoint in the entire conflict zone, militants used 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers, large-caliber machineguns and small arms.

In the vicinities of Donetsk, Ukrainian positions near Butivka coal mine, Luhanske, Pisky, Opytne and Zaitseve took fire as well. Near Novotroitske, Donetsk region, mercenaries fired 120 mm mortars and anti-tank missile launchers. Maryinka, Shyrokyne and Taramchuk went under fire from grenade launchers, machineguns and small arms. Several times, Ukrainian servicemen returned fire in order to hold their positions.
