“On the second anniversary of the conflict in eastern Ukraine, armed Russian mercenaries continue to serve their lords. They opened fire at Ukrainian positions 50 times”, reads the message on the ATO Press Centre’s Facebook page.

Since early hours of Thursday, militants have attacked Avdiivka, Maryinka and Luhanske, using small arms and grenade launchers. They used 82 mm mortars to shoot at Zaitseve, Avdiivka and Butivka coal mine. Later, they opened fire from 120 mm mortars in attacks on Opytne. Near Novotroitske, bandits opened fire from AA guns. Every time as the enemy approached Ukrainian positions near the industrial zone in Avdiivka, government troops returned fire.
