It will take up to fifteen years to completely clear mines in the militant-occupied areas of eastern Ukraine. The anti-terrorism operation staff of Ukraine’s Defence Ministry told that to the press on April 20.

‘The mine clearing activity in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions is a burning issue these days. By experts’ estimates, this area makes some 700,000 hectares, and it takes 10 to 15 years to completely clear the area,’ the anti-terrorism operation staff said.
