The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic whose citizen was injured due to the explosion of the car of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Luhansk region called on all sides of the Donbas conflict to guarantee the OSCE mission safety and to not obstruct its activity. This was reported in the message on the site of the agency.

“Foreign Ministry expresses its deep regrets concerning the incident in Donbas during which a patrol car of the OSCE monitoring mission in Ukraine exploded after driving over the mine…Czech Republic calls on all the sides to the conflict to ensure safety of the mission’s observers and to grant full and undisturbed access to all the territory of Ukraine,” the message says.

The ministry reminded that due to the incident one American observer died and two others, including the citizen of the Czech Republic were transported to the hospital.

Earlier it was reported that Germany urged to cease attacks on OSCE observers in Ukraine. The Foreign Ministry of Germany stressed that it is in the interests of all that the OSCE observers can perform their important and simultaneously difficult and dangerous work.
