The so-called Ministry of Economic Development of Crimea signed a memorandum of cooperation with their counterparts from Abkhazia, according to the website of the Crimean authorities.

The parties agreed to share information and cooperate in the socio-economic, scientific-technical and cultural spheres. The document was signed by the Ministers of self-proclaimed republics of Abkhazia and Crimea Valentin Demidov and Ardzinban Adgur.

The Republic of Abkhazia is an unrecognized by the world community country, which is legally an autonomous republic of Georgia. Crimea was illegally annexed by the Russian Federation on February 20, 2014.
