The worsening situation in Avdiivka revealed the use of prohibited weapons by the Minsk Agreements by Russian troops. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Ivana Klympush-Tsintsadze during a speech in the European Parliament.
"Shelling in Avdiivka demonstrated the use of weapons by Russian troops, which are prohibited by the Minsk Agreements. In particular, Russia-backed militants attacked from large-caliber ammunition, multiple rocket launchers, 120 mm guns and from a tank", said Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze.
According to the Vice Prime Minister for European Integration, as a result of deterioration of the situation in the Donbas region in a week 15 Ukrainian soldiers and three civilians were killed, and more than a hundred soldiers and nine civilians were wounded. "Many times multiple rocket launchers were used from the residential areas of Donetsk in order to fire Avdiivka", she added.
