As a result of broken power lines the Donetsk filtration plant stopped working, Avdiivka residents were left without water as a result. This was reported by the head of Avdiivka municipal civil administration Pavel Malyhin to "112 Ukraine" TV channel.

"Currently, the city is calm, shelling started yesterday at 6 a.m. and stopped at 11:43 p.m. No attacks at the moment, but during this time the power line was hit, so Donetsk filtration plant stopped again and the city has no water. Donetsk filtration plant team is now preparing to go to find out where the power lines were killed," he said.

According to him, if ceasefire continues, repair and restoration of water supply to houses will be conducted.

It is noteworthy that ceasefire regime came into force from midnight December 24, which was previously agreed on by Minsk group.
