7 casualties for the last day after land mines explosions

2 soldiers died from mine blast, 5 more got serious injuries - Presidential Administration

According to the Presidential Administration spokesperson for ATO-related issues Andrii Lysenko, during the last day in the ATO area two soldiers were killed and five more were injured.

“Yesterday, two groups of our soldiers blown up on explosives. It happened near the railway station "Maiorska" not far from Gorlivka, as well as in an area of Starognativka in Volnovakha district of Donetsk region. As a result of explosions, two of our soldiers were killed and five others were injured, "- he said.

Also, according to the words of Andri Lysenko, for the past day in the ATO zone near Kostiantynivka settlement one flight of Russian-backed militants` unmanned aircraft was recorded.

As it was reported before, Russian-backed militants plant the landmines near the approaches to the areas controlled by Ukraine. Overall, from the beginning of the antiterrorist operation (ATO) in the area of Donbas, military engineers cleared 17 thousand explosive devices. Besides the Ukrainian Armed Forces, local civilians of the ATO area often become victims of the explosive devices detonation.
