There are 35000 militants and 6000 Russian military staff in the occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions. The Representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadym Skibitskiy said this during the briefing, which was broadcast by 112 Ukraine TV Channel.

"The first and the second Army Corps consist of 35 thousand troops, and about 6 thousand soldiers of other regular units of Russia, who are on the territory of Ukraine", he said.

According to Skibitskiy, the number of Russian troops in the east of Ukraine has not particularly changed since the beginning of August. Russian military currently runs a partial rotation of forces, and the main rotation took place in July and August.

Skibitskiy stressed that Servicemen of different military units of Russia periodically come to Ukraine to carry out combat missions on its territory.

He also reminded that all the logistics of the militants is under Russian control.
