Since midnight, pro-Russian mercenaries have been firing at fortifications of government troops in Donbas, using the weaponry banned by Minsk agreements. ATO Press Centre reported this on Friday evening. In general, 31 attacks took place over the day.
“Outposts near Krasnohorivka, Avdiivka, Opytne, Nevelske, Maryinka and Chermalyk were shelled from mortars. The enemy fired at our positions near Avdiivka twice – from tanks and mortars”, reads the message.
Militants used RPGs and large caliber machineguns to shoot at Opytne, Pisky, Avdiivka, Novhorodske and Zaitseve, all in Donetsk region. Enemy snipers stepped up attacks near Pisky and Butivka coal mine.
Vodyane and Shyrokyne, near the government-held port city of Mariupol, Donetsk region, were fired at from automatic grenade launchers and small arms”, the press centre reported.
