Over 2,700 civilians have died from the beginning of hostilities in the area of Donbas conflict in Eastern Ukraine, the International Committee of the Red Cross in Ukraine said.

The organization claims that as a result of hostilities, more than a million families also became internally displaced, and civilians remaining on both sides of the line of demarcation need medical and humanitarian assistance.

"More than 2.7 thousand civilians died because of the military conflict in Ukraine, more than a million families were forced to leave their homes. People on both sides of the demarcation line that have become hostages to the conflict continue to suffer, and medical and humanitarian workers risk their lives to help them, "the report said.
