From Monday, August 31, eight European Missions are to start their work in Kyiv in order to verify the implementation of the visa-free requirements, stated Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin.

“We must corroborate what we have done, and point on what still needs to be done in order to receive a positive resolution from the Commission, December 15, and in 2016 the visa-free travel has become a reality,” he said.

The Minister added that Ukrainian MFA is currently working on the introduction of visa-free regime not only with the EU.

Today, there are 46 countries, which borders can be easily crossed by Ukrainians without any visas. And there are 85 countries, where Ukrainians can go with the diplomatic and official passports only.

"I am convinced that we can radically increase, perhaps even double that amount. The world must be open to the Ukrainians," said Klimkin.
