Arab Coalition announces 48-hour truce in Yemen, AFP reports.

"The Arab Coalition announces 48-hour truce in Yemen from Saturday," it is reported in the publication.

Earlier, on October 23 Arab coalition resumed air strikes in Yemen.

As reported in March 2015, rebels Houthis seized power in Yemen, displaced Sunni leadership in the country. With the support of Saudi Arabia the overthrown government has returned control of part the country.

The local cells of "Islamic State" and "Al-Qaeda" are also involved in the armed conflict in Yemen.
